The 'Wedgewood' Look for Northern Ireland Visit

First of all, I have to say this outfit is high up among my favourites of Her Majesty's! It's by Angela Kelly, who in her book "Dressing the Queen - The Jubilee Wardrobe" refers to it as a 'Wedgewood' look, with peaceful colours and elegant lines, and it does look like a delicate piece of jasperware.

This was first worn during the Diamond Jubilee tour of the UK, for engagements in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, on 26 June 2012, paired with the Queen's shamrock brooch, in an obvious nod to her Irish hosts:

This look happens to have a fab matching dress, featuring the same white lace detail around the middle as the coat. We got a first glimpse of it on 9 November 2012, the Queen wore the dress alone to conduct investitures at Buckingham Palace. Below she is seen with Bombardier Mark Carpenter, Royal Artillery, who was decorated with The Military Cross for Services in Afghanistan. It remains unseen in this particular photo, but the Queen was wearing her diamond and sapphire Russian brooch, a wedding present to Princess Mary of Teck, later Queen Mary, from Russian Empress Marie Feodorovna:

The outfit was repeated on 22 June 2013, Day 5 of Royal Ascot horse races, accessorised with the Courtauld Thomson scallop shell brooch:

We saw the dress worn on its own again for audiences at Buckingham Palace on 13 November 2013, with the Boucheron aquamarine and diamond clips. Shown below is the Queen with Argentinian Ambassador Alicia Amalia Castro:

On 27 February 2014, the dress was worn on its own again, at a reception for the Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education at Buckingham Palace. The Boucheron clips were selected again:

We saw this again on 28 May 2014, when the Queen presented new standards to the Household Cavalry in a ceremony at Horse Guards Parade (brooches here are, of course, the Household Cavalry badges):

Then, on 9 October 2014, it was another solo appearance for the dress, at an investiture ceremony held at Buckingham Palace (below Her Majesty is seen presenting an MBE to Denise Barrett-Baxendale for her charity work):

More than a year later, on 13 November 2015, the Queen repeated the dress on its own to host a reception at Buckingham Palace for winners of the Civil Service Aw. She accessorized once again with her aquamarine and diamond Boucheron clips:

Barely a month later, on 20 December 2015, the Queen repeated the whole outfit for the Sunday morning church service at St Mary Magadalene on the Sandringham estate (Daily Mail article here). She wore the Boucheron clips once again:

The Queen wore the dress, complete with the Courtauld Thomsen Scallop-Shell brooch, for a photoshoot with London photographer Ranald Mackechnie in July 2015. This picture showing the Queen with her three direct heirs was later released on 20 April 2016, as a set of four Royal Mail 1st class stamps to commemorate the Queen's 90th birthday (Daily Mail article here):
