A few months later, on 6 July 2004, the look was repeated at a significant royal event, the unveiling of the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain in London's Hyde Park, at the presence of members of both the Royal Family and the Spencer family. The Queen chose the Kent amethyst brooch:
On 6 November 2004, the Queen accessorised the outfit with the diamond and sapphire Carrington Feather brooch, to attend the wedding of Lady Tamara, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Westminster, to Edward Van Custem at Chester Cathedral:
On 25 April 2005, the Queen again chose the exact same outfit she had worn the previous November for a service of commemoration at Westminster Abbey for the 90th anniversary of ANZAC Day:
Later that year, on 15 June 2005, the Queen wore purple again on Day 2 of the Royal Ascot races:
On 4 November 2005, the Queen selected this outfit again for a visit to Kingston Grammar School in Surrey, accessorising with her amethyst bouquet brooch:
The following year, on 24 October 2006, the Queen officially opened the Smith Centre, a new part of the Science Museum in London and completed the look with a not-very-often seen piece, the Kent amethyst brooch:
The Queen repeated the look on 17 May 2007 for a visit to Lords Cricket Ground in London, and accessorised with the multicoloured Flower Basket brooch:
On 12 July 2007, the Royals, seen here with the then Duchess of Brabant, later Queen Mathilde of Belgium, were for a day in Belgium, where they toured the GlaxoSmithKline Biological Research Centre in Wavre, as seen below. The Cullinan V brooch was on display:
Other engagements for the day included a commemoration ceremony for the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele, as shown in the photo below, where the Queen is seen talking to King Albert, while the Crown Prince looks on:
On 18 July 2010, the Queen selected this outfit once again, this time for a visit to RAF Marham, in Norfolk, in her role as Honorary Air Commodore, and pinned one of Queen Victoria's diamond bow brooches to her coat:
