Teal Angela Kelly Outfit and Remodeled Straw Hat

The hat that goes with this Angela Kelly outfit has been modified over the years. Its first incarnation was as a (somewhat shapeless) straw creation with a large ribbon trim. The outfit is comprised of a collarless, buttonless teal coat with grey piping and slit pockets, plus a silk floral print dress in shades of grey and teal. The first appearance of this look dates way back to the 2007 State visit to the US, when the Queen wore it on 4 May 2007 on a tour of Jamestown Settlement in Willimasburg, Virginia, a living history museum that tells the story of America's first permament English colony. The Queen wore her Sri-Lankan Bouquet brooch:

The following month, in 26 June 2007, the Queen repeated this outfit for a visit to the Royal Horticultural Society Garden at Wisley in Surrey. This time, she chose her six-pointed diamond flower brooch:

A year later, on 25 June 2008, the Queen wore again this outfit to a presentation of the new standards to the Royal Tank Regiment in the garden of Buckingham Palace (the Queen's speech on the occasion can be read here):

Then this outfit was not seen in public for quite some time, until it reappeared on 30 June 2014, at the Ceremony of the Keys upon Her Majesty's arrival at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, at the start of her summer stay in Scotland. This time the hat had been remodeled from its original version: it lost its straw ribbon, to gain a more becoming small straw bow. On the whole, personally I like this second version much better! The Royal Regiment of Scotland badge was worn:
