Ice Blue and Turquoise Bouclé Outfit with Feathered Rachel Trevor Morgan Hat

This outfit is comprised of a collarless coat with turquoise fabric-covered buttons and a dress, both in the same pale ice blue-grey bouclé fabric with mini turquoise polka dots, plus a turquoise straw hat by Rachel Trevor Morgan, with a sharply upturned brim trimmed with a band of the same fabric as the coat and dress and a feather spray trim.

It was first worn by the Queen during her historic visit to the Republic of Ireland, the first from a British monarch in 100 years, on 18 May 2011. Her Majesty toured Government buildings and visited the Guinness storehouse. She wore her Boucheron aquamarine and diamond clips:

On 3 September 2011, the Queen repeated this look for her traditional appearance at the Braemar Highland Gathering in Scotland. As usual, Her Majesty wore her yellow gold Braemar Feather brooch:

 

 

The Queen then repeated this look on a very significant day, the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne, for a visit to Dersingham School in King's Lynn, Norfolk, on 6 February 2012. For the occasion, a favourite brooch of the Queen Mother's, the Courtauld-Thomson Scallop Shell, was used:

 

 

The outfit then made another appearance in the year of the Diamond Jubilee, when the Queen wore it for that year's Maundy Thursday service at York Minster, which she attended accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice, on 5 April 2012 (Daily Mail article here). Her Majesty completed her look with the Jardine Star brooch:

 

 

The outfit, accessorised with a warm black fur scarf and the Nyzam of Hyderabad Rose brooch, was worn again on 10 February 2013 for Sunday church at Sandringham (Daily Mail article here):

 

Barely a fortnight later, on 21 February 2013, the Queen wore the dress on its own, paired with her pearl triangle brooch, for audiences at Buckingham Palace (Daily Mail article here, in the second photograph the turquoise polka dot detail that identifies this piece is more clearly visible):

 

And again on 28 February 2014, the dress, paired with the Cambridge Pearl Pendant brooch, was worn for a private audience at Buckingham Palace with German Chancellor Angela Merkel (Daily Mail article here):

 

 

The Queen chose again the coat and dress, albeit without the hat, ditched in favour of a floral silk scarf, for the train journey from central London to King's Lynn at the start of her traditional Christmas break in Norfolk on 18 December 2014, accessorizing with the not-often-seen Flame Lily brooch (Daily Mail article here):
