Sky Blue Karl Ludwig Coat and White Angela Kelly Hat

This sky blue Karl Ludwig outfit with floral trim and white straw Angela Kelly hat was first worn on 18 June 2010, Day 4 of the Royal Ascot races, accessorised with the Boucheron aquamarine and diamond clips:

It was repeated very soon afterwards, on 22 July 2010, for a garden party at Buckingham Palace, accessorised with the Queen Mother's Palm Leaf brooch:

On 20 May 2014, the Queen visited HMS Lancaster at Portsmouth Naval Base. The visit provided some fantastic photo opportunities! The Queen is pictured wearing the largest of Queen Victoria's Bow brooches:

Sky Blue for Canadian Garden Party

A splendid sky coat, floral print silk dress and hat by Rachel Trevor-Morgan, trimmed with delicate hibiscus flowers made of feathers, first worn on 30 June 2010, at a garden party at Government House in Ottawa, Canada, accessorised with the magnificent Courtauld Thomson scallop shell brooch, a 1919 piece entirely pavé-set with brilliants and with a single white pearl at the centre:

On 23 May 2011, the outfit reappeared, minus the hat, which had been swapped with a black bow hairnet, at the Chelsea Flower Show, accessorised, in keeping with the floral theme, with the Nizam of Hyderabad diamond rose brooch:

The outfit was worn again the following month, on 18 June 2011, on Day 5 of the Royal Ascot horse races, paired with one of Queen Victoria's bow brooches:

And again, a couple of weeks later, on 1 July 2011, at the official opening of the fourth session of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, with the same brooch seen at Ascot:

The outfit got two public outings in the year of the Diamond Jubilee, first on 29 March 2012, when the Queen chose it for a visit to Krishna Avanti Primary School in Harrow, accessorised with her pearl trefoil brooch:

And again on 25 June 2012, for Three Counties Diamond Jubilee River Pageant at Henley Business College, paired with both her Boucheron aquamarine clips, an 18th birthday present to Princess Elizabeth from her parents:

On 7 May 2013, the Queen selected this outfit, minus the hat, which seems rather unusual to me for a church engagement, to attend a service of rededication of the organ at Temple Church in the City of London (Daily Mail article here). The Queen accessorized with Queen Victoria's pearl brooch:

A photo from this engagement has subsequently been used on 60th wedding anniversary cards the Queen sends out to couples in the UK:

On 7 June 2013, the Queen repeated the exact same ensamble she had sported in March 2012 for the school visit, on a tour of BBC headquarters in London:

Later that month, on 27 June 2013, the Queen chose once again this outfit to present the Grenadier Guards with new colours (no points for guessing the Grenadier Guards brooch was used on this occasion!):

On 11 July 2013, the Queen chose the silk dress that goes with this look, accessorised with one of Queen Victoria's Bow brooches, to welcome the newly-crowned Dutch King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima to Windsor Castle:

Another repeat of this outfit came on 10 July 2014, when the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Chatsworth, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire in Derbyshire, paired with one of my all time favourite brooches in Her Majesty's collection, a fabulous turquoise and diamond piece:

On this occasion, we even got another view of the dress, when the Queen removed her coat:
